This is the final episode of a 3 part PBS documentary from 1996, “Triumph of The Nerds”, hosted by Robert Cringely. Well worth watching since it focuses on the history of Apple and Microsoft during their second phase of the late 1980s and the early 1990s, as well as the development of graphical user interfaces (GUIs) at Xerox PARC in the 1970s. There are some priceless vintage footage of Jobs and Gates :P The first and second parts are also worth watching if you want a thoroughly accurate history of the personal computer industry from the 1970s onward. It’s incredible to find out how empty peoples’ knowledge of computer history is even though this has all happened in less than 40 years!
