Apple’s macabre profit off Jobs’ death
It happened to MJ’s estate after he died. And now there’s evidence that Apple is seeing a heinous boost in sales as the “sympathy money” just floods in from all of the so called loyal customers.
Am I the only one to see the macabre in all of this? Why do people do this en masse without realising that the money is not actually going to Jobs? He’s dead! It’s going to line the pockets of faceless shareholders who wouldn’t even pay a cent to buy loyalty :P
How come the meagre reception of iPhone 4S has now turned around to be a monster hit? Why do people make economic decisions with such mind numbing irrationality?
Anyway, I give up. I will just have to take solace in knowing that my money is going to line the pockets of people with faces, and hearts, and souls, and above all, a need to survive!
