Wordope is now live
The dinky little JavaScript toy I showed off yesterday (codenamed wordope) is now live at the above URL for anyone to try out. You can put whatever text in the little editor at the top and click Process for the first 100 words to appear on the canvas below. Then you can drag the words around as per the video from yesterday with automatic jiggling to make them appear somewhat alive. Nothing is sent back to the server since everything runs inside your browser. So it’s safe in that I’m not attempting to steal anything by doping people :P LOL
My first JavaScript implementation for throwing a bunch of words on an empty canvas and just dragging them around at will, with the added twist of force directed graph layout using the magnificent D3 toolkit. I don’t know how to make YouTube work properly (i.e., can’t be bothered to learn right now :P ) and so the video is too fuzzy even though I recorded in high definition :(
